女人30情定水舞間 Fabulous 30

女人30情定水舞間 Fabulous 30 came out early last year so I know I’m a little late. I sort of just passed it that time, never really interested. Recently, while hunting for dramas, I came across this one and just decided to try it out, especially since Jennifer Hong was in it. I must say that Xiao Xun’s acting has improved a lot and Li Wei Wei is growing onto me more. I used to despise her acting and her voice but I think she really played Xu Wan Ting well this time around.

This drama is packed with three separate romances for each of the main women characters. These women are the best of friends and live with each other. All three characters were pretty fun to watch although I enjoyed Jiang Wen Qi’s (Jennifer Hong) story the most. Wen Qi is a very fearless and outspoken mother who divorced her husband, thinking he didn’t love her anymore. She’s total boss and my favorite character throughout the drama. I know a lot of the drama was centered around Wan Ting and Lin Wei Zhong (Darren Qiu), but their relationship just seemed really platonic throughout the entire drama. It was hard to see the romance between them which didn’t really come out until the end.

Xiao Xun played Xia Zhi Qin really well in my opinion, except for the crying scenes. Her and Ai De Hua (Danson Tang) matched really well and had hilarious interactions. This is one of the first times where I felt Danson’s acting was natural. In the past dramas, he always seemed a bit forced but I think Ai De Hua’s character was really believable this time. Although I didn’t enjoy Wan Ting’s with Wei Zhong as much, I must admit it was really fresh to see his character. Darren usually plays some rich, charismatic boss so it was really interesting to see him as the nerdy and clueless Wei Zhong and it definitely validates him as a pretty versatile actor. Li Wei Wei also who usually plays the slick antagonist was sort of naive and innocent this time.
